So often we hear from our clients that they were feeling overwhelmed and daunted by the building process before we met them. With the multitude of decisions to be made before and during their build, we can completely understand how clients get to this point. When we came across the online software, Co-Construct, we knew we’d struck gold for our clients. With this easy-to-use system, they can view their new home’s build progress, financials, upcoming schedule and photos. This system doesn’t stop there - it also gives clients the sought after clarity with their decision-making too. Let us show you what we mean.

When we first meet with clients, we get to know their project and exactly what they’re planning to do. After the meeting, we send a private link inviting them to join Co-Construct. This secure platform stores all of the information about their job and clients can access at any time of the day. Under their project, we thoroughly work through the detailed plans from their architect and add in any decisions that need to be made.

For example, let’s talk through all of the decisions involved with a new kitchen design. At some stage during the planning and build process, clients will need to make their decision about the benchtop, joinery, splashback, tapware, appliances, sinks, task lighting and more. Using Co-Construct, we can load all of these decisions and give clients two options; they can either comment with their pre-selected choice, such as the tiled splashback they’ve found on Pinterest or we can supply a range of options for them to choose from. As you can see below, this client preferred us to supply the range of options for their oven selection and has chosen the Miele Oven Upgrade and can see at a glance the cost comparisons.

Once the decision has been made, it’s stored in the system for future reference. Clients can also go in and make changes to any decision at any time, with a notification about any changes going straight to us as the builder. If clients would like the opportunity to discuss any decisions with a particular sub-trade such as the plumber or their architect, we can give them access easily making three-way conversations a breeze.

With so many decisions to be made, clients get peace of mind knowing their choices are stored in the online system and won’t be missed or lost in the process. It’s of benefit to us to have these decisions confirmed early on in the process too, as it allows our team to provide an accurate estimate of costs as we know exactly what we’re allowing for. If clients would prefer to wait to make certain decisions, Co-Construct has this covered to with calendar reminders coming through to their email when a decision is required.
